Foressos Golf was designed by D. Jose Gancedo and sits around a completely renovated 12th century farmhouse a mere 15 minutes from the centre of Valencia. The 18 hole, par 72, 6364m (white) course is set amongst typical Mediterranean vegetation, palm trees, pines and local plants. Although a reasonably long course it is an easy walk but it is a course of two different halves with triple greens, 2, 14 & 16, where 2 holes share the green in the purest of links style, 1 - 17 and 3 - 11, the challenging 7th hole par 3 at 146m (white) and numerous lakes all difficult to avoid with a loose shot. Foressos is a course which tests both the amateur and the professional golfer alike.

El Bosque Golf Course, perfectly situated in Valencia, was designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr, opened in 1975 and is one not to be missed. This 18 hole, par 72, 6276m, white tees, beautiful course is set at the foot of a mountain and will definitely challenge all golfers, even the more experienced ones, with steep river banks, natural vegetation, lakes, streams, strategically placed bunkers and undulating fast greens.
El Bosque has been the location for several International Championships including the Open "El Bosque" (Volvo Tour), the Mediterranean Open, the PGA Senior of the European PGA and the Queens Cup. The 8th hole is a lovely little par 3 over the water, with fountain, onto the green followed by the 9th hole, one of the most difficult par 4's on the Costa Blanca, shooting to a raised green just to the side of the Club House. The long and straight 15th hole is hard to attack and conquer with the perfectly placed bunkers and stream to the front of the green.

The lower ground floor Pro Shop is well equipped with everything you need for the game of golf together with buggy, trolley and service club rental. Quality practice facilities with a two-tier lighted driving range, chipping and bunker areas and practice putting greens. The "El Mirador" Restaurant boasts a Mediterranean Menu accompanied by fine local wines. Parties of up to 150 persons can be catered for. The Cafeteria, also located on the lower ground floor, serves snacks and drinks from 8am-9.30pm. Locker Room facilities include showers, sauna and Turkish bath. El Bosque is a short drive to "Outlet Shops" and the City of Valencia.

Escorpión Golf Club, founded in 1969, had the wonderful foresight in 1972 to purchase the old farmhouse, Masia de Torre, and land at Conill en Bétera where this prestigious Golf Club now stands. The 27 hole (3 x 9 holes), par 72, 6350m, white, was originally designed by Ron Kirby with the additional third 9 holes designed by Alfonso Vidaor. Considered by many as one of the most prominent courses in Valencia, Escorpión is quite magnificent with its 17th century Club House packed with original features. The Escorpión Course and Club House is a masterpiece located in a lovely valley surrounded with natural vegetation and trees. The three 9 hole courses, La Masia par 36, Los Lagos par 35 and Los Nuevos par 37 vary in difficulty and length. The fairways are wide and flat, easy to walk and the greens are, on average, 500m2 - the 3 courses of 9 holes make up the fantastic Escorpión 27 hole course. La Masia is a mainly flat terrain and dog-legs, Los Lagos has 6 lakes, they can prove to be major obstacles that will punish or reward you and Los Nuevos with its hilly ground, slightly raised greens and huge bunkers will offer any golfer a fair test of their game.

The magnificent 17th century farmhouse which is now the El Scorpion Club House stands quite regally at the beginning of the wonderful course. Although completely renovated the Club House has a wonderful authentic feel to it but is quite modern - the blend of old and new comes together beautifully. The pro shop is well stocked, buggy rental is available. Internally you have a fully equipped modern changing room area, children's play area, well equipped gym, restaurant with lovely views over the course, snack bar, tv room, games room and lounge area. Externally: covered driving range, approach and practice putting greens, swimming pool and a tennis court. Nearby there are at least two hotels with spa facilities.
The prestigious El Saler Golf Course is recognised as one of the 100 best courses in the World and one of the top 5 in Europe. Designed by the internationally acclaimed Javier Arana, El Saler was opened in 1968, 18 holes, par 72, 6335m, white, it is a long, challenging and demanding course with wide greens and several blind hazards. The course itself is just south of Valencia within the El Saler Nature Park and is both a European and Links style - reminiscent of some famous Scottish courses. Natural surroundings, local plants such as the "Cats Claws", windswept trees, undulating areas of beautiful landscaped fairways and greens all give this course its well deserved reputation.
El Saler has hosted (and will be again in the future) many International and Spanish Professional/Amateur competitions, The Spanish Open and the Seve Ballesteros Trophy to name but two. There are numerous excellent holes but the strong finish of the superb 17th hole par 3, heading out towards the sea with a well bunkered, raised sloping green is just fabulous followed by the classic 18th par 4, out along the beach and turning in a dog-leg left towards the Parador.

La Galiana Golf, a new Champsionship Course situated in the Valencia Region, north of Gandia and inland from Xeraco on the CV50 Km11 is now open! February 2011 saw the official opening of this new, excellent golf course and many golfers are already heading up to the Valencian Region to try it out. Designed by Moon Masters SL this 18 hole, par 72, 6216m (white tees) golf course has individually designed holes that will test the ability of all standards of golfers and the liklihood is that you will use every club in your bag. There are actually 6 Tees on each Tee Box, Black 6975m, White 6216m, Yellow 6025m, Orange 5636m, Blue 5469m and Red 4997m.. Wide fairways, well defined with local flora, pine and orange groves, 11 well placed lakes forcing precise shots, bunkers that guard the super greens, some raised, La Galiana is a demanding golf course but it is entertaining. An ultra modern irrigation system is in place keeping the course lush and there are extensive trails for buggies throughout the course respecting nature and, of course, the tee boxes. No membership is necessary for the golf course, it is open all year round and is highly recommended.
