The course opened in 1990 and was designed by that well known Spanish golfer Jose Maria Cañizares. It was the first golf course to be built in Axarquia, in the Costa del Sol. The course is designed to benefit all levels of golfers and has some of the best views of the surrounding area that you will never forget. In June 2019 the course was remodelled. The fairways were reseeded and the type of grass used on the greens was changed. This provided a better putting surface where the roll of the ball was significantly better.
