The fantastic La Sella Golf Course designed by two-time Augusta Masters Champion José María Olazábal in 1991, is situated at the base of the ‘Montgó’, near Denia and will provide a great day out for any golf fanatic. With the addition of the third 9 holes, making it a 27-hole course, the original tight tree lined 18-hole, par 72, 6289m course is the current venue for the Comunidad Valenciana European Nations Cup which Campbell Lamont Golf was proud to be involved with. The newer 9 holes, again designed by José María Olazábal, have a wider more open feel in contrast to the tighter original 18-hole course. The three “9 hole” courses can be mixed and matched to give the discerning golfer more flexibility and challenges.
The course has been under construction in recent years, with the irrigation system, tee platforms, green complexes and bunkers all being renewed, and various improvements have been made in fairways and rough, creating a more modern and environmentally sustainable golf course. With long narrow fairways, undulating greens and numerous amounts of blind dog legs, La Sella has long been established as one of the finest and most difficult courses in Spain.
