La Manga Golf North offers a memorable experience from the very first hole, where an elevated tee between tall trees creates an intimidating opening drive. Moreover, the course features a wonderful mix of par 3s, par 5s and strategic challenges including ditches, lakes and tiered greens throughout. In addition, the famous 18th hole demands you carry the ditch from alongside the clubhouse windows to find the tiered green in front of the hotel. La Manga Golf North is designed by Robert Dean Putman and begins with an elevated tee between tall trees before opening up to a generous fairway. Specifically, the early holes offer tremendous variety, including a sneaky par 3 with four tiers sloping left to right and a par 5 that frustrates big hitters with a dry ditch across the fairway. Furthermore, one of the standout holes in all 54 at La Manga Club is the gorgeous par 3 to an infinity green seemingly floating in the air with the mountains beyond. In addition, the last five holes provide a superb finish, with the 14th demanding an exacting approach between lake and ditch.
The 18th is a stellar conclusion that lives long in the memory of every golfer who plays it. Therefore, the North course consistently delivers a round that is both enjoyable and genuinely challenging from start to finish. In contrast to longer championship layouts, the North rewards course management and creative shot-making over raw distance. For more information, visit the official La Manga Club website.
