The Parador de El Saler golf course is considered by professionals and enthusiasts, institutions and specialised press as one of the best golf courses in the world. Built in 1968 by Javier Arana, a great Spanish golf architect with international acclaim, it is located in the El Saler Natural Park, on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, in the Autonomous Community of Valencia; it is at the fore-front of economic development in Spain and it is an element of pride for this region.

Its design takes into account for its integration in the protected landscape (non-native species such as the famous “Cat’s Claw), and its course runs through differentiated zones, from beach links, similar to the famous Scottish golf courses, to areas with typical Mediterranean forest. Its total length is 6,042 m, split into 18 holes, with a par of 72. The club also has a golf school, practice ground, 3 putting greens, 2 approach greens, a pro-shop, club hire, electric trolleys and carts and a snack-bar and restaurant.

It can be said they the Parador de El Saler Golf Course (Valencia) is considered as one of the top 60 courses in the world and within the top 3 in Europe, and this is testament to the professional players and enthusiasts, as well as the specialised institutions and press.
