Would you like to represent your country in Spain 2023?
Campbell Lamont Golf are proud to present “The Lee Sharpe, Race To Oliva Nova” which are a series of Pairs Betterball competitions held in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland along with the host country Spain. The purpose of these competitions is to supply two winning pairs from each country to compete in the European Final, which will be held at the incredible Seve Ballesteros designed golf course Oliva Nova, situated in the heart of the Costa Blanca, Spain.
All the winning pairs from the national finals of each country will need to do is get themselves to Alicante or Valencia airport on 16th June 2023 and the competition organisers will take care of everything else.
His career in the sport spanned from 1988 to 2004 playing in the top flight of the English Premier League for Manchester United, Leeds United and Bradford City, followed by a spell in the Seria A for Sampdoria.
Sharpey’s spell at Manchester United lasted from 1988 until 1996 where he won three league titles, two FA cups and the League Cup along with being capped for England on eight occasions.
In Spain, the winning two pairs from each of the five qualifying competitions will gain free entry into the Spanish National Final at Oliva Nova on 11th June 2023. These pairs will compete to supply the best two pairs who will represent Spain at the European Final.
The winning two pairs from every National Final in the UK will gain free entry into the European Final at the fantastic Oliva Nova Golf & Beach Resort (full details below). In its inaugural year, the UK will go straight to “Open” National Finals so there will be no need to go through the qualifying stages like we do in Spain.

This spectacular resort (Pronounced Oh-LEE-vah) is situated next to the beach of the Mediterranean Sea, at the border of the Valencia and Alicante regions of the Costa Blanca, Spain.

The par 72, 6307 metre course from the medal tees was designed by Severiano Ballesteros in 1995 covering around 50 hectares – In His words
“This course offers great possibilities to all golfers, as it has short, medium and long holes, and fairways with left and right doglegs. I think it poses a challenge to any golfer”.
